Norway launches new
energy savings programs
  (March 2010)
The City of Norway’s electric customers have multiple new ways to save energy and help lower their electric bills thanks to new energy efficiency rebate programs introduced by the utility this month.

“Saving energy is one of the most important things we can do to help keep customer bills down, reduce emissions, and control long-term costs,” said Ray Anderson, City Manager. “The Norway Department of Power & Light’s new energy efficiency rebate programs are one way in which we’re working to meet that goal.” (click here for news release)

Residential customers in Norway may now be eligible for rebates (click on bullet to download rebate pdf ) on qualifying energy saving equipment and services, including:
• ENERGY STAR® Appliances – Refrigerators, clothes washers, dishwashers, room air conditioners and dehumidifiers
• Efficient HVAC Equipment – Furnaces with variable speed motors, central air conditioner (A/C) units, and electric water heaters
• ENERGY STAR Lighting – Compact fluorescent light (CFL) bulbs and lightemitting diode (LED) night lights and holiday lights, and
• Central A/C Tune-Ups – Tune-ups to central A/C units by participating contractors.
