Marion Park
Marion Park is located south of the City on US Highway 8. The park has soccer, baseball, tennis, playground and two pavillions for picnics and events. Contact City Hall to reserve the pavillions at (906) 563-9961.

Jake Menghini Historical Museum
Located on O'Dill Drive, off US-2, just west of Norway near the train overhead and Norway Spring. Open beginning in June, 1-4 pm , Wed, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.

Oak Crest Golf Course
Oak Crest Golf Course is an 18-hole course named for its abundance of oak trees and located in Norway, Michigan, 80 miles straight north of Green Bay, WI. The 6,162 yard course also includes a driving range, putting green, and club house.
The brick clubhouse includes a large dining facility, locker rooms, bar area, and pro shop furnished with today's best in golf equipment and apparel.

Fumee Natural Recreation Area
Take US2 west to Upper Pine Creek Road. Take right onto Upper Pine Creek Road and travel about one mile. Turn is on left.

City Band Shell
Located at 900 Main Street next to the City Hall. Events are scheduled throught the summer. There is limited permanent bench seating; visitors welcome to bring lawn chairs to events. The band shell is available for use during the warm-weather months by civic organizations on a first-come, first served basis with the calendar of Norway's city band given preference. Call the city hall (906) 563-9961 for reservation information. There is a fund established at city hall for volunteer donations to cover the cost of repairs to the structure.

City-Wide Loop Trail
The City of Norway has completed intermeditate segments connecting our parks and recreational areas. Our non-motorized paved trails are used for walking, running, biking, and roller skating. Norway area map

The Norway Mry Wetland Restoration Area is a nature area available to the public.

Strawberry Lake Park
Located at the north end of Main Street, Strawberry Lake was an old ironing mining area that filled with water. Non-motorized boating is allowed but there are no official access ramps. Fishing is allowed. Two wooden fishing piers are available. A one mile-walking trail around the lake connects to the City-Wide Loop Trail, Knights Kingdom is wooden play area for the kids, softball field, dirt bike hills, and community garden surround the lake. In the winter skating rink and warming shack are in use near Knights Kingdom.

Visit Pellegrini Farms
Travel four miles east of Norway on Hwy 2, through Vulcan until you see the Big Bear sculpture on the right. Turn right at the Bear. Take the first left over the RR tracks (River Road) and continue until you see the "tractor" mailbox on the right. Turn in and proceed to parking area.

Iron Mountain Iron Mine

Guided underground mine tours by train, through 2,600 feet of underground drifts and stopes to see the reality of iron mining. Tours are conducted daily from June 1st to October 15th. Children under 6 are free with an adult.

Norway Speedway
The Norway Speedway is located just outside of Norway on US 8. on the Dickinson County Fairgrounds. Racing weekly are the Pepsi Late Models, Auto Value Super Stocks, DQ-Dog 4 cylinders and the Norway Slammers.
The Norway Speedway is a third mile oval track thatis slightly banked. The track, originally a dirt track, was built in 1942 and was blacktopped in 1978.
Brought to you Fridays—Memorial Day to Labor Day—by the Dickinson County Racing Association.
Pit area opens at 3:00pm, Grandstands open 5:00 p.m.; time trials 6:15
racing starts at 7:30 (times are subject to change - please check our website for current race times.)

Winter

Norway Sledding Hills
One hill is located on north Main Street just west of Strawberry Lake. The other hill is located at Oak Crest Golf Course near the club house.
The sledding hills are used by a variety of youth groups as well as students from Norway-Vulcan Area Schools for Winterfest activities.

Norway Skating Rink
Strawberry Lake Recreation Area, north end of Main Street next to warming house and Knights Kingdom playground.
Hours—weather dependent:
Monday - Friday from 3:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.
Weekends from 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m.
The City of Norway would like to invite you to enjoy outdoor winter recreation at its skating rink located in the Strawberry Lake Recreation Area.
The rink size is 150' x 200' taking 30,000 gallons of water to get the rink in shape for the season opener. Maintenance requires an additional 1,500 gallons water to be added daily.
There is a warming facility that provides a place to rest and warm-up. The "warming shack" also provides a restroom facility, drinking fountain, and vending machines. And for those who do not have skates of their own the city has accumulated many pairs of skates from donations that are available for use at no charge.

X-C Skiing at Oak Crest Country Club
Weather permitting, Oak Crest Country Club, south of Norway off Hwy 8, will have its first cross-country trail. Call city hall at 906-563-9961 to find out if it's open for use.
